NTYE entered two students from
Norbury Manor Business & Enterprise College in the prestigious European Young Entrepreneurs Competition hosted
by our European Partners in Vienna,
Austria on 21st and 22nd November 2011.

The event was attended by students from various European Cities who all
show cased their business
opportunities to professional judges.

"I felt very privileged to get the opportunity to go to Vienna.  Not only was it my first time going there but also I was able to go with my business partner.  I felt honoured and taken aback by the responsibility I was given.  I found it scry but very good to develop on my people skills and to network with people I did not know.  It was nerve wracking but a great experience and exciting.  I found it interesting to speak to others of our age and older in the same position but from other

"I was ecstatic that I was given the opportunity and couldn’t wait to go and experience new things.  It was fun to interact with other students and guests as well as finding out about the products and business ideas they were pitching. It was scary but exciting pitching to the judges, but after the introductions I started to relax and became more confident. It was fun meeting other students and interacting with them, especially as we had another student sharing our accommodation.  We had time to discuss how different our lives were".

The two young students NTYE (GB) sadly did not win   showing their certificates from Norbury Manor Business & Enterprise College for prestigious European Young Entrepreneurs Competition hosted by our European Partners in Vienna but these students did us proud.

"To be able to offer a group of Norbury Manor students the opportunity to present a business plan to a range of business people from across Europe was to provide them with the opportunity for their work in completing their own entrepreneurship programme to be validated and to allow them to realise that they were in fact true entrepreneurs and budding business people.   The students took all of the opportunities and made the absolute most of all of the experiences they had, being it setting up their trade stand, communicating with their peers from other European nations or delivering a business plan with confidence to a group of well respected and high achieving business people. In terms of their confidence, these students have blossomed into mature young women with well refined communication skills and a new found  ease in relating to people from all walks of life. I cannot recommend this programme enough – it is truly life changing for some students".
